After developing winged angel animation/ motion concepts for Alex Proyas’ biblical epic of Lucifer’s fall “Paradise Lost” project using Maya, Greg and colleague David James
developed astonishing real world electro/mechanical special vehicle effects for
Mad Max 4 Fury Road to allow complete stunt safety, and Greg drove vehicles in major explosive stunts
for the film. Notably Greg drove the “people eater’s” mercedes fuel truck as it exploded and flipped, as featured in all of the film’s trailers as well as Buzzard cars and the War Rig’s
careering fuel pod trailer. He also designed hero guns, guages, gigahorse
compass, war rig superchager suction fans and even compact high velocity fans
for close up shots. Greg’s
expertise in aircraft design allows him to design and build high speed winged
flying camera rigs and multicopters. He has a full C.A.S.A. UAV drone pilots license.
At a slightly more leisurely pace, Greg designed and built the electronic remote
control-drive system for the 4wheel drive, 4wheel steering Qantas “curiosity” Mars rover. Greg has also
designed creature effects of a self swimming Blueshark and fully articulated
albatros and Angelina Jolie’s “Unbroken” wartime epic.
He has recently completed VFX supervision with Al Ferguson for the UAE Govt
world Expo film “Family Tree” and worked with Sir Ridley Scott on Alien Covenant building Alien horrors.
Presently he is working on a feature film development of the true story of the
Killers of Eden and consulting on other feature, TV and documentary projects.
Greg welcomes all enquiries, Please don’t assume he is too busy or expensive for your project.
